Dear Patient,
My introduction to acupuncture began through the practice of Hatha Yoga–a healing system of physical and energetic practices. Over the years, I have studied with many masterful teachers and have had the opportunity to teach both locally and internationally. My own experiences, and those of my students, helped to shape how I see the human body through both Eastern wisdom and modern understanding.
In my undergraduate studies, I knew I wanted to pursue the field of medicine, but it wasn’t until I was introduced to acupuncture that I knew exactly how. I first learned about points and meridians through yoga and mind-body meditation, while also practicing acupressure, cupping, and moxibustion. After experiencing acupuncture’s effects on my own health, I soon realized how complete this system of medicine was and it only felt natural to enroll in schooling for acupuncture.
I have been very fortunate to apprentice one-on-one with Dr. Roberto Andrade during my studies. His generosity and guidance have helped me hone myself as a practitioner utilizing both ancient and modern techniques of healing. My time spent with him and his patients has strengthened my desire to help anyone who walks through our doors.
I am consistently inspired by my family and friends to understand and refine my role in medicine, and it is my great honor to incorporate all that I have learned into clear and applicable care for you. I truly believe the body has an incredible capacity for self-healing, no matter the challenge faced, and that the practice of acupuncture can help point us back toward health.
Yours in Health,
Nina
